About the Work

ARTISTIC VIEW

I like to reveal nature and the feelings of people, to catch sincere moments, and to create pictures with the mood and atmosphere. My creative projects take many forms and are designed for you to immerse yourself in those moments. Through photography, film, and text,  you can experience emotional moments that will connect you, giving you a new way to see yourself and those around you.

I’m happiest with my work when I create a picture that embraces a moment, a story, and a compositional integrity. There should be an original creative core: one that is interesting to look not only to the participant of the survey but also to the outside viewer.

Projects

The Dark Secret

This experimental film uses mostly a black screen to document one person's single experience with mental illness and how showing a little kindness can help. The black screen technique was used in hopes the viewer would focus on active listening, which is often what those suffering from mental illness need, to be listened to because they feel they are alone in a dark room. This short film was created in 72 hours as part of the local '72 hour shootout' competition which novice filmmakers are given a common theme and then have 72 hours to write, shoot, edit, and post completed film.
